About Old Bishop Farms

More than just a farm, a family destination.

John and Carolyn Torello purchased this historic, bicentennial farm in 2015. While the farm has long been an iconic location in Cheshire and place for CT families to visit, it had fallen into disrepair. The farm was shut down for 2 years to renovate the building and property, reopening in the fall of 2018. The country store/gift shop is a throw back to classic New England.

At Old Bishop Farm we value doing things the right way. We are the farm for foodies. The produce we grow is chosen for flavor. We use organic growing methods, but sometimes rely on conventional means, so we are not certified. We believed locally grown produce is best. All of our baked goods and ice cream are hand crafted on the premises, using high quality ingredients.
